SIGMA PHI EPSILON - KANSAS EPSILON

Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) was founded on November 1, 1901 at Richmond College, now the University of Richmond, in Richmond, Va.  The founding fathers made a promise about the fraternity experience that "this fraternity will be different." Since then, SigEp has grown to become one of the largest fraternities in the country. Around 15,000 SigEp undergraduates are on 230 college campuses each year.  They are among the more than 319,000 lifetime brothers who have joined since 1901. SigEp was founded with the cardinal principles of Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love.  Our mission is “Building Balanced Men,” which is achieved through a commitment to Sound Mind and Sound Body.
The Kansas Epsilon Chapter of SigEp was founded on the campus of Emporia State University on February 10, 1951. The chapter house, built in 1961, is located just east of the campus of ESU in Emporia, Kansas. The chapter strives for excellence through innovative programming for its members, encouragement of on-campus leadership roles, and participation in intramural sports in order to fulfill the Balanced Man ideal.
